Oh what a wondrous glorious day
When God my Saviour wipes away
Until my eyes are completely dry
The countless tears that I cry
Today my eyes are moist and wet
What sorrow deep I still have yet
When my heart it aches with pain
And my tears they fall like drifting rain
When heartbreak comes and it hurts sore
And tear waters break on my eyelid shore
Then God whispers gently in my ear
I will catch for you each falling tear
Though they flow like a mighty river
That seems to run its course forever
Its waters quickly flowing there
To fill the ocean of your despair
But some day in a better land
I will dry them like desert sand
Your eyes that have so often brimmed
With tears flowing from them red rimmed
No more then the waterfall
My hand I'll raise and stop it all
The cascading water quickly dries
When I wipe the tears from you eyes
