Letters From September
Tears falling slow
you became my bridge
the one I wrote home about
the one I could talk to
and in the pool of madness
I found love's infinity
moon and stars above me
don't you know you live in my veins?
Empty arms are just a waiting
I see the glass full
knowing I will never be the same
I'm trying to spell
what only the wind can explain
you blow away from me often
but my love never will change
so I like to swim at the deep end
just right up to my neck
and I took too much meds to sleep
so I lay awake daydreaming
I can see your laugh
and feel you even now
even in the morning when the alarm sounds
and dreams are left cut in half
so goodbye, good luck
take the embers of my love
put them in your pocket
feel the burn like sunshine under your skin
keep believing
and I will keep glowing
because even though.....
Tears falling slow
you became my bridge
the one I wrote home about
the one I could talk to
and in the pool of madnessI found love's infinity.....
