It was the darkest of all the eves.
The moon fast climbing in the air,
cast eerie light through autumn leaves,
and fell there on the witches' lair.
From deep within the forest's grove,
they awakened from their unholy sleep.
It was the thirst for blood which drove,
them out and beyond the forest deep.
It was All Hallows Eve that special night,
when spirits rise and witches do abound.
The season filled with fear and fright,
Evil stalks everyone and screams do abound.
Beware persistent traveler, if you walk alone.
Pray, hear these words and do believe,
witches abide and kindness is never shown,
upon this night, All Hallows Eve.
