    "Missing Piece Of My Heart"

Thinking back to happier times
when love was fresh and new.
You stole my heart and gave me hope;
of sharing life with you.
~~~
All of these nights I spend alone;
I'm dreaming of you still.
There's  emptiness that lingers here;
that only you could fill.
~~~

I miss your tender goodnight kiss;
and the way you held me tight.
My love for you would never have changed;
for you were, my comfort in the night.
~~~
I still feel you in my heart;
with every breath I take.
Our souls they were entwined as one;
that could never be replaced.
~~~
It seems I needed you more
than words could ever say.
Your love and strength that surrounded me;
had somehow slipped away.
~~~
I never thought our love would end;
For, I knew it from the start.
That very moment some time ago;
that you were the missing piece of my heart.
~~~
