Heart Of The Matter
Semi-Detached
I'm semi-detached,
And I'm vacant,
The shutters are down,
In my room,
The light fails to shine,
Through my windows,
And I pray,
That a buyer comes soon,
And if he decides,
That he wants me,
Makes an offer,
That I can't refuse,
He'll find,
That the home fires,
Still burning,
And, in truth,
He's got nothing,
To lose.
