The Clock Stopped
The clock stopped,
Then started,
And then it stopped again,
I thought it was much later,
But the clock said half past ten,
I missed the bus,
And then the train,
I wondered what went wrong,
I sat a while just thinking,
Till another came along,
When I arrived,
I realized,
I missed out on the tea,
Decided on the Chinese,
But it closed at half past three,
The sun departed early,
And still I could not see,
That the clock had stopped,
Then started,
And then it stopped again.
