SUMMER INTO FALL

Summer's for getting a tan
Playing in the hot Columbia sand
Summer's for lust
Writing about it to those you trust

Summer's almost gone
Will my passion hang on
Through the cool of Fall
When I don't feel my all

Summer's for being awake and alive
For biking and swimming and summer's jive
A time to toss your cares away
And play and play and play

Fall's a time to sleep a lot
Try to be happy with what I've got
A time to work those forty hours
And lose the fun of playtime powers

A time between biking and skiing
When lots of sleep is what I'm seeing
With fall soon here what do I do?
But wait for Spring to make me new.
