Are you gonna love me when
they put me in the back seat?
with handcuffs on-
and no shoes on my feet?
And are you gonna love me when
you see me sitting in the street?
filthy and dirty-
and deep inside a dream?
Are you gonna love me when
I'm too high to know
where I've been?
or where I
should even go?
Are you gonna love me when
I am all alone?
in the cell they threw me in-
too drunk to go home?
Are you gonna love me when
I go out of my mind?
will you be there next time-
and still follow me?
Are you gonna love me when
I promise to try harder?
or will you eventually-
give up on me?
