~The Cliff~
The Cliff~
SultryRose's Signatures
She stands at the edge of a cliff
The wind whipping her hair,
across the once beautiful face
I know, she hates heights
So many times I have seen her
Frozen with fright, near an edge
Afraid to speak,
I might frighten her
Over the cliff
of no return
She stands so still
My mind is racing
what is she thinking?
I know her well
I put myself in her mind
Spirialling down, ever so fast
my hands reaching out
But no one is there
A final journey taken
So far it is to the end
Seems to last forever
But I know, it will save me
The deep dark hole
that will soon swollow me
To save me from the pain
To harness me from more suffering
To escape reality
that has been so cruel
Save me from myself
Forever more
I now understand
I will miss you
