Heart Of The Matter
Hometown Hills
Photograph, Hometown Hills, Linda Harnett © 2006
Now and then, they call to me,
A short walk,
I am there,
Gazing at my hometown hills,
I stand a while and stare,
My thoughts begin to wander,
Sweet memories,
Flood my mind,
I see them now with clarity,
Though they're left,
So far behind,
Life holds so many changes,
The choices,
Hard to make,
But the hills of home are stable,
And in their mystery,
I partake.
