 Feeling All Alone
Some people live their life in fear.
They feel alone, even with family near.
They struggle with hurts from the past.
Growing up, they felt like an outcast.

In one Person they found a true Friend.
Jesus would be there to the very end.
But still there was that emptiness inside.
Because of Satan, they would run and hide.

Many times they had said a prayer,
For God to send someone who cared.
One day a friend came with a special touch.
No one had ever cared for them that much.

This friend led them to Jesus one day.
Jesus came in, showing them a new Way.
Suddenly they found a peace in their soul.
Jesus had made them completely whole.

Still they were isolated and felt all alone.
They would much rather be on their own.
They had few friends; it was hard to reach out.
Fears would creep in and make them doubt.

This new friend tried to help them see the light,
Join in with others; our fears we need to fight.
We need to step out of our comfort zone.
Otherwise, we will continue to be alone.

Without friends, our life is boring and dull.
We need others to make it over the long haul.
Taking it one step at a time, we can do it.
We will not make it, if we give up and quit.

Proverbs 17:17a (NIV)
A friend loves at all times.
