Within the subtle changing of daytime to the night
lies the world where poets dream in the magic of twilight.
Hidden far away from the sunlight's prying eyes
caught between a lover's kiss and a stifled sigh.
The place where all things are possible if we believe
a spot where we can rest and try once more to retrieve
all our thoughts we have not had time to express and write
there were life's disappointments can be erased from sight.
Here within we are safe from the days oppressing memories,
We can delete, improvise, and restructure as we might please.
Still on through the waxing night hours we build and delegate
till finally we wonder at the beauty God allows us to create.
