Footprints now slowly disappear
A gentle wind removes each trace
Retiring after twenty nine years
Taking life at a slower pace
<
Though prints dissipate like the dust
The impressions made will last
Dedication on each job well done
Still reflecting upon you're past
<
What you've instilled in others
Will proudly now live on
Long after the dust has settled
Still with them even though you're gone
<
Retirement now is bittersweet
Head held high above the crowd
Each step each year an accomplishment
You've a reason to be proud
<
Good luck farewell hip hip hooray
Is what we now all chant
Take you're bow as we applaud
We'll miss you Dave Durant
