Communication is an important key
To any growing relationship, you see.
It may be a spouse, a friend, or boss.
Without it, we are at a complete loss.
It is more than the words we say.
It is what we do for others each day.
Actions speak louder than words.
That is how our message is heard.
God designed marriage for a reason.
We are on earth for a short season.
Man and woman are united as one.
It is much more than just having fun.
God created each partner to be unique.
Where one is strong, the other may be weak.
To love and support through good and bad.
They lift the other up when they are sad.
It is a relationship that gives and takes,
With sacrifices made for the other's sake.
Willing to accept each other for their faults,
Remaining faithful and never casting insults.
A healthy relationship takes time on our part.
There needs to be honesty from the very start.
To open up your heart and show that you care,
Brings courage to others in which you share.
Listen to what the other person is trying to say.
It is a skill often overlooked in our world today.
People are hurt by a word that pops into our head.
If only we would think before we speak instead.
Focus on Jesus and your relationship will pass the test.
You will bring Him honor by giving Him your best.
You will experience His blessing in all that you do.
Nothing will change what He has in store for you.
