Father
"First,a man takes a drink
then,the drink takes a drink
then the drink takes the man."
-{japanese{?}proverb}
It's okay that you weren't there
no,really,I understand;
I threw the punch myself,
and cleaned the blood from my own hand.
I know you have priorities
and it IS getting close to nine...
and you have to feed your addiction
so,we'll just catch up another time.
I'll tell my brother you can't make it;
I'm sure he'll understand why
'cuz you won't be able to drive later
but,don't worry,I'll tell him you said hi
And it's okay about my birthday
I know dates are hard to remember
I know LOTS of people
who confuse February with December
And I know you didin't mean it-
{what you said last time we talked}
...oh,you don't remember...?
...Oh,me?upset?
No,Dad,of course not.
Yeah f@$%ing right!
