 From my mind

A Smile in Time

Smiling faces look back at me from a photo
Smiles from a time, a time gone by, images of places, family, friends and I.
Looking at ghosts from a past lifetime, gazing down at my young face
Triggering memories of the old times, back in time the mind does trace.

Say cheese and smile for the camera, let us catch this moment in time
Never get tired of looking, together the heart and eyes they do shine.
Young innocent eyes look out not knowing what in life has planned
The older looks back at the innocent now grown and a wiser man.

Thumbing through this old album, caught in visions of the past
The wheels of time kept turning, at the time thinking it would last.
Thoughts they keep coming, that was another lifetime was that really me?
I'll keep adding photos to this old album and as for the future; I'll just wait and see.
