The cold night air seeped sharply into our bones
As we raced along we prayed in hushed tones
Driving through the deserted streets we faced
our terrible fears
We were standing on a clift neath satan's
vicious stares
Our hearts pounded as worried thoughts filled
our minds
"What if's" were flashing like neon lights of all
kinds
Not obeying any stop lights we made it to the E.R.
We scrambled out into the freezing night from the
warmth of our car
Breathing was difficult and I welcomed the
doctor's care
I sank into a deep abyss and of nothing else I was aware
Sweet Peace tucked me into a warm bed of complete trust
Angels rocked me gently, nurses gathered around me in a rush
My strong faith is the anchor to my life's turbulent seas
I feel totally safe as my dear Lord's love protects me
These minor trials are tests along our earthly walk
Satan can be diverted as on distruction's course he stalks
The Lord paid the price to claim me as His child
In the Almighty's arms I lay my tired head to hide

Note:
I recently had to be rushed to the E.R.
I had the E-Coli virus and was very dehydrated.
Thanks for all the prayers & get-well
wishes, dear friends! God bless!
love, Irene
