There's an old school on the hill
Where children used to go,
It's many years old and worn out now
But, children used to run to and fro.
The laughter is all gone
And the sign, which held the name, is too,
There weren't enough children going to it
Deep inside, I feel so blue.
I went to that school
When I was just a young girl,
I became friends with many children
And the teachers adored my blonde curls.
No more smiles from children or parents
The noise has gone silent, in the halls,
It upsets me to no end
That there's graffiti all over the outside walls.

I used to go to this school in Grade 3. I loved it there. It's close to being 100 years old. It's a real shame it's not being used anymore. :'o(
