Sand Castles
Sitting under the summer sun
Watching the waves roll in,
They crash all along the shoreline
Playtime, then begins.
Digging holes in the beach sand
With a small shovel and pail,
Up above in the azure sky
Gulls watch, through the wind, they sail.
The sand castles start to form
As the waves crawl closer to their feet,
But, the children, don't seem to mind
With a smile, the waves, they do greet.
