Pleading to God
Hear me O Lord as I pray,
Lend an ear to what I say;
My soul thirsts after you,
To guide each day through.
I am just a sinner fallen short,
Ever to sail out of Your port;
But even though I am flawed,
Daily I give honor and laud;
I ask of You to hear my plea,
Of my desire to be sin free;
To err is human forgive Divine,
Make my soul once again shine.
Please teach me to do Your will,
For being strong and to be still;
Avoid in straying off Your path,
As to spare me from Your wrath.
You are greater than our heart,
Enter within and never depart;
Help me to do all that is right,
So it is pleasing to Your sight.
