Heart Of The Matter

Another Battle Looms

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Another weekend drawing to a close,
Time savoured in my thoughts of light and love,
I'm un-inclined to write them down in prose,
For who would care, when push, it comes to shove,

Another working week set to begin,
I'll hasten through my day from nine to five,
By nightfall, I'll release the child within,
Take comfort in the fact, she's still alive,

Some unwelcome distractions make me tense,
Do battle with corrupted pin striped suit,
Demand he finds some means of recompense,
Whilst lawyers; take me down the legal route.

I won't give up what's mine without a fight,
But politicians don't know wrong from right.
