There is wondrous truth in its pages
This Book pointed me to the Rock of Ages
Its words of life are God breathed
To helpless sinners it has been bequeathed
This Book is the Bible you see
Oh this beautiful holy Book
When on its writing I did look
I read how as a sinner lost
Jesus died for me and paid the cost
The Christ of the Bible set me free
When all hope had expired
I rested on the words God inspired
Then He from the pit my soul did lift
And give eternal life as a gift
When to the Saviour of the Bible I bowed my knee
I use this Book to map my way
Following its signs in case I stray
God whispers to me in every line
Rest on me for you are mine
I am the God of the Bible and I love thee
I can rely on its every word
For I know they come from the Lord
When men were moved by God who is just
And wrote the words that I can trust
The author of the Bible my God is He
Do not add to it or from it take
Each word has been written for a sinner's sake
And when its truth you will read
To warning words please take heed
The Lamb of the Bible will your judge be
This Book is my only guide
I will keep its covers open wide
And to its pages turn every day
For God said; my Word will not pass away
This is what the Bible means to me
