There are flights for souls in the waiting
The departures of each none will miss
In the crossing over from life unto death
What have you packed to journey this?
Your riches and gold is so worthless
Material things left behind when you depart
Dust to dust; what remains to carry
Are things packed deep in your heart
Look what's there and consider
All the baggage you carry within
Of deceit and pride and selfish will
And bags in abundance of unpardoned sin
Self righteous rags to clothe yourself
Good works as a ticket to pay your way
What will God see in your heart's suitcase?
When it is opened before Him on the Judgement day
Come to Jesus before your flight is called
Let Him pack your suitcase anew
Give to Him your old baggage
And He will lose it all for you
Forever in His sea of forgetfulness
Never will it be found anymore
Then He will supply new things for you
From His great abundant store
Love He gives; forgiveness and peace
All you need in your luggage He will do
A lid not closing; for overflowing
Will be the suitcase He packs for you
Your flight is waiting; now you are prepared
No more packing left to do
Christ has done it all; now gladly thank Him
For all the old baggage He lost for you
