 Imprisoned
I thought I was special
I thought it was only for me
I should have known better
But I sometimes refuse to see
Patience is a virtue they say
Time passes without words
It's understandable,
Why a heart goes astray
A glimpe every day just isn't enough
But a glimpse yesterday showed me so much
Perhaps life is better this way
A beautiful misty dream will ease your day
Your sin will ebb away as the memories decay
Live life like there is no tomorrow
Have no regrets, have no contempt
Never remember with pain or sorrow
A soft kiss on the cheek as I speak these words
Take care, be well
Closed in life is this chapter of me
She simply was never meant to be free
