Goodbye, The Singer Sang
I listened to a song that told,
The story of our love,
The lyrics stopped me in my track,
A message from above,
I'd almost given up on you,
Goodbye, the singer sang,
But at the end, declared his love,
Went back where he began,
He sang about a love,
That was to last his whole life through,
I turned my eyes to rest them,
On the photograph of you,
And as I heard those tender words,
I could have said to you,
I realised that you, my love,
Have said them to me too,
We said hello, and then goodbye,
Unspoken thoughts remain,
But I listen to the music,
And know we'll love again.
