Holier times
Once upon a time
they nailed men to crosses
everyone had a witchcraft alter
slaves and were racist beyond anything you could imagine
not to mention sexist
and in these holy times which we praise
and receive our philosophies
we place upon pedestals
what's under rug swept?
the truth of women historically bathing in blood?
the kings cutting off heads of men and women?
the wars of our fathers that span centuries we are all detectives of
as we flip through history class of lies
and go to church of the holy whatever
and think maybe its satanism?
we no longer kill animals needlessly
or sacrifice men for that matter
few of us bathe in blood
or search for immortality through black magic
but in this period of mankind there are psychics and dogmas and psychology

where before it was survival of the fittest
noble men saw a pretty lady

should we return there?
should we drain the blood of saints and drink
