Remembering The VeteransRemembering the Veterans On this November day, Watching the families As they stand and pray. Friends were left behind But, now connect as one, Poppies are worn over their hearts 'Neath the November sun. The wind blows around them As wreaths are being placed, Lost lives being remembered Memories can never be erased. Tears for the lost ones Fall down every cheek, Another Remembrance Day gone past Comfort, is all they seek. Copyright Cynthia Jones Nov.11/2006 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
