Johnny's  Thanksgiving  Family

Johnny  was  a grown-up  boy,  who
Spent  lots  of  money  on  big  guy  toys,
And  when  it  came  to  friends,  he  only  chose  the  elite,
He  was  an  impressive  young  man  to  say  the  least.

Then  on  a  cold  November  day,
He  remembered  Thanksgiving  was  drawing  near,
A  time  set  aside  once  a  year,
When  folks  gathered  with  family,  they  held  dear.

 Preparations  he  began  to  make,
A  turkey  with  all  the  trimmings
 And  a  pumpkin  pie,
These  thoughts  made  Johnny  feel  warm  inside.

One  thing  Johnny  seemed  to  forget,
Is  where  he'd  seen  his  family,
 The  last  time  they  met,
 Their  telephone  number
 He  could  not  remember,
And  it  was  kind  of  fuzzy,
 Where  they  lived  last  November.

This  is  not  a  problem  little  Johnny  said,
His  family  was  old  and  uncultured  anyway,
He  would  rent  himself,  a  six  figure  one
 For  Thanksgiving  day.
