West Virginia
*me being silly, no offense to anyone from this state LOL*
West Virginia
We got married in West Virginia
we got married to Elvis's tune
oh love me tender
we had the reception at the county park
we had rice cakes thrown down the lot
we got married in West Virginia
after the family's lecture
oh look up and smile
my brother is the preacher
he says now it's legal
our first dance is starting
it's ahh our favorite
it's called rednecks cure malaria
oh we got married in West Virginia
that faithful day
twenty years later
and a dozen of kids grown
we sit proudly on our beer stained porch
overalls tapping as we sing the chorus
oh we got married in West Virginia
why was the family fussing?
It was just a little small fact we overlooked
we was kissing cousins
