 Self Portrait

I've painted my own self-portrait
Each strokes been a labor of love
A legacy that I now leave you
For I've been commissioned above

I chose my palette of colors
To capture each shade of my life
Mixed to bring out the subtle hints
While portraying both joy and strife

The eyes the smile both reflecting
All that I love and adore
The image of me on this canvas
Is now seen as never before

I've painted the creases of life
In various subtle hues
All memories of years gone bye
Where you can just pick and choose

This portrait stands on this easel
A last goodbye a farewell
My signature down in its corner
In your hearts is where it will dwell

Feel the warmth and love emanating
And know it can only increase
Each stroke for you my children
For it's my only masterpiece

The aura in this self portrait
Depicting that I'm Heaven bound
Gaze your eyes to the azure skies
For that's where I can be found
