From the Heart Through the Pen

Lessons Learned

So if it's in my touch
Just like Celine says
Why was it that she doubted
How I felt
Why'd she believe there was no way
That I loved her
The way that I did
She tried to tell me how I felt
Because the words I failed to speak
She'll never know
Truly how I believed
She was the one I sought
A lesson to me was taught
Now another one
She felt my touch and heard my words
Did my best to leave her no doubt
That what I felt
Was in no way absurd
I wish she could see
How simple it could have been
My goodness she'll never know the pain
That she put me in
The love I had for her
Was seen by all and ignored by her
Thought I'd be around
Until she finally made a decision
So this I made for her
But mostly for me
This kind of drama neither of us needed
Finally some peace of mind
At least that's what I'm hoping
Now someone else can feel my touch
She can hear my words
She can get a taste
And this time I won't feel
As if it were a waste
She can feel at ease
Seeing through my eyes
It's her I aim to please
And everyone around her
Can let her know
And it'd be no surprise
By the love I have pouring out
Without a shadow of a doubt
It's me for her and her for me
We'll tie that bond
And seal it with a kiss
And finally not only will it be I
But her also who knows what love is
