Today's Poetry
Epitaph For The Living
These words won't be sufficient
About a man whose heart is gold
For through the words of Jesus
He leads the lost ones to the fold
He guides them with gentle hands
And a voice both rich and strong
With eyes that see the Promised Land
Showing that's where we belong
He's not ashamed to shed a tear
Or smile to wipe someone's away
He's proud to share God's Holy word
In his poetry called prose
Dear God this Man has blessed us all
With the friendship that he brings
For he's an earth bound angel
Who'll one day gain his wings?
And then he'll soar on above us
Where he'll sit on Gods right hand
Achieving all he lived for
By meeting with God's command
But till then we'll all let him know
That he's in our hearts to stay
Another of Gods children
We're blessed here with today
An epitaph for the living
For he deserves the right to hear
The praise that we bestow on him
For we hold him very dear
We love you Marvin
