We travelled to the south west coast,
Gazed upon the Irish Sea,
I wanted you to see the place,
That's such a part of me,

The green hills in the background,
A deep blue azure sky,
We listened to the gentle waves,
Saw a seagull flying by,

The sun so warmly welcomed you,
To my very special shore,
And I pointed out my lighthouse,
That I wrote about before,

We travelled over mountains,
And down through forest glens,
We watched the sunset on a loch,
Just you and me, my friends,

We drove on to Loch Lomond,
And stood upon its shore,
We sailed out on a little boat,
How we felt our spirits soar,

And what about the Highlands,
So high and out of reach,
Those magical, mystical mountains,
Where we seemed bereft of speech,

We did the tour, we saw the sights,
And love was in the air,
All gifted with sweet memories,
Suntanned and sun bleached hair.
