Roses For My Friends
How many times during the day
has your words of encouragement
shown me a better way?
I loose count of the times you have come through
I just thank God for you
for all the love you have given me
for all the prayers sent
you are my glittering jewels
wonderful amazing gifts
to Mel and Marvin
this is me sending love
this is roses for my friends
A simple talk, a kind word said
encouragement, belief in me
you have given me the small
but priceless intangibles
true friendship, I am the lucky one
not one but two
incredible people
that have come into my life
spreading sunshine
where darkness once did shine
you are pieces to my puzzle
important parts I can't do without
to Mel and Marvin
this is me sending my gratitude
