CAN I? HUH HUH?


Can I share my words with you?
Others may not understand
I wish to bring no harm with them
They are just thoughts from mind to hand

Words I have loved to write down
Poetry describing emotion
Contemplating them when no one's around
A prescription of a mental potion

Poetry has come to me
Fluently since age thirteen
Writing, writing, thinking, dreaming
All the wisdom, joy, and pain it may bring

So can I share my words with you?
However bleak or underground
Because the verse springs from my heart
I will not calm those words down.
