Don't sell You Short
Don't let the mind
close, please don't,
don't take the sun for
granted or smelling a rose,
don't get too set in your
ways that freshness can't
get in,
you're new everyday, the
minute you want, you can
feel, try, brand new things,
just like slipping your feet
in new shoes, your eyes on a
new scene,
new smells, new friends, get
older without compromising chance,
your eyes still sparkle you
just need a new painting,
change your soap, your shampoo,
your perfume, paint your toes
pink instead of red, read what
you've never read, hear a new
song on your radio,
there is a feeling you get
when you cut your hair, shave,
a fresh birth, smell of bakery's
early in the morning, walking
down the street in new cloth,
new look, going some place you've
never been,
can:
give you a another
chance to live.
