Mixed with tears
Smeared
Over nakedness
In remembrance
Before
In despair
He leaves the site.
Ashes,
Mixed ashes
Of his love
And home
Destroyed
By act of vengeance,
Yet of despair.
Ashes
Mixed ashes of
Murder and suicide:
The despairing
Taking the joyful
By random act.
Ashes
Mixed ashes
Worn over the heart
Under clothing,
Not to be washed away
Until and when.
And another avenger
Is born
Out of
Ashes.
