God's Most Beautiful Angel-A Mother's Grief

Mere Moments

Mere Moments

You try to keep them safe and warm.
Protect them…. keep them free from harm.
When in the end mere moments can undo all that you have done.
“It is God’s will” they say…but it is death that’s really won.

We never know the ending or how much time we have on earth.
That is the element of surprise from the moment of our birth.
Old age and sickness we comprehend…when the dark angel comes to call.
But when human error takes a loved one…it makes no sense at all.

One false movement...glance…or daydream can end it just like that.
They look up from the floorboard...and see nothing but the glass.
Blood stained seats and crumpled metal what a cruel hand life has dealt.
You pray that death came quickly and no pain was ever felt.

One day they’re there…poof…then they’re gone.
And all you have is memories to sustain you when it’s done.
If you have questions about their life and loves…or just want to take a second to glance upon their face.
Act quickly and take advantage of the time you have together…now.
Before mere moments take their place.
