God's Most Beautiful Angel-A Mother's Grief

Stopped By

We came to see you today.
It rained last night the grass is damp.
The trees are sprouting new leaves as spring has its way.
A scissor tail sits on the wires near you in a trance.

The rain has cleared the dust that gathers from the road.
Everything looks bright and clean as if reborn.
You have a new neighbor. Don’t worry others wont get to close.
The beauty of your place will not get trampled on and worn.

We talk to you and remember days gone by.
Good days…bad days…trying to recall all the days when you where here.
Anger and frustration grips our hearts. We cannot help but cry.
Our hearts want to scream this isn’t fair…why did this have to happen…but we can only shed our tears.

Our visit seems short. It is always hard to leave you.
But getting on with life calls us away.
The car behind us…we know what we must do.
We stopped by to say hello…we love you and we will be back another day.
