God's Most Beautiful Angel-A Mother's Grief

Those Left Behind

Those Left Behind

Life is just a question for those of us who have been left behind.
We wonder how this happened and why fate is so unkind.
Is this really some grand scheme that God has for us all?
Or is this just a stumbling block so he can watch us fall.

It’s said “That which we can endure forever makes us strong.”
So what! Who cares! Who gives a damn! That doesn’t right what’s wrong.
To those of us who are left behind this is destiny’s harshest dose.
We would rather have them here with us and hold them very close.

I thought you were the god of love not some teacher with a test.
A teacher bent on sending us on a never ending quest.
Where did you get the answers? What is it we must prove?
Life has become one big play and our roles are mean and cruel.

So God…I know you’re listening…you must rewrite your final act.
Cause those of us who are left behind are questioning the facts.
