Watchful for the Lord
I am a sentry for the Lord,
As a keeper of His Word;
Eyesight that is top notch,
I will stand upon my watch.
So set me upon the tower,
For we know not the hour;
When God will say to me,
Of a vision for my poetry.
A poem that makes sense,
And will tear down a fence;
The turmoil of two friends,
And that their conflict ends.
Let the poetic vision show,
How the sacred blood flow;
To cancel your deadly sin,
And to be cleansed within.
The heavy burden you carry,
Be eased so you do not tarry;
In order for uplifting your soul,
As faith in God stays in control.
