The Current
I run into deep water,
And I feel like I'm going to drown.
I look into his eyes,
And realize the pleasure I have found.
I try to swim,
Yet the current pulls me back.
I'm almost there at the end,
But full strength I do lack.
My eyes are tired of tears,
My arms full of pain.
I cannot see the ending,
My legs are exausted with strain.
My heart can see the ending,
Yet my feet do despare.
I keep on swimming,
For I will end up there.
