Petals In The Grass

The Perfect Nobody

I ought to be happy
But have nothing to share
I ought to be in love
But have no one to care

Lost in oblivion
Battered by illusions
Plaugued by sober thoughts
Tortured by delusions

A man with no reason
A man with no cause
No congratulations
And no applause

Stuck with mediocrity
Stuck with me
Unable to understand
Is this the way it's suppose to be?
