Morning Praise
A morning crisp and cold,
As a new day is to unfold;
With newness in the air,
The sun begins its fanfare.
The darkness of the night,
Begins to be turning light;
As dawning of a new day,
Shines outward as I pray.
God is good and has blest,
Me with a good night rest;
And can feel it in my heart,
In being off to a good start.
There is no need to be sad,
Rather rejoice and be glad;
So start the rest of your life,
And leaving toils and strife.
This is the day He has made,
As His Word has conveyed;
Thank Him for what He has done,
Especially in giving His Son.
