Every Time
Every time ground reality beckons
I fail to come up to your expectations
Peering into each others faces
Pain and anguish flash in the shade.
The weight of the long days
The contrast of the dark night
Filling up the unoccupied mind
Amidst the spreading dying fields.
After your silent departure, clouds gather
And windy rain lashes the barren yard
As if the fury never seen before
Only the moist dust settles on my thoughts.
Every time the opportunity knocks the door
I am unable to rise to the occasion
Up scaling my all time desires
Slow to let go the golden moments.
