Reaching Through Time And space
Time as sugar
melting,
as grapes
in our wine,
I wanna get
caught in your
wink, your smile,
your tender needs,
let me in
on all your secrets,
I will deliver trust
at your feet, friendship,
when they tell you
it can't be done, you
want me on your side,
pure love lifts dreams,
lay in bed and read me
to heart, I will not judge
you, will not stab your back,
I will comfort your thoughts,
see I've lived lonely, inside
my heart, my dreams, the fitting
in process, eludes me, for conformity
is the selling out of individuality,
I can't sell out my soul, my
integrity, my being, I can't get
lost in the meaningless, that
I miss connecting with you,
words are not needed when our
eyes meet, but from a million
miles away, they can map us,
some place safe.
