Temptations Path

Temptations Path

Well today seems black
if I didn't know better
I think it was a curse
just a process in denial
boy better watch your tongue
before you join the fire

I walk the road
without a name
no gold in sight
just shackled in these chains
pride is torn
heart is broken
I am the face of depression
the sad girl in ads
just a smoking

cuz it's been a long walk
with no end
it's been a bitter winter
I feel the frost bite
through a busted chin
cuz it's been a long walk
tossing out caution to the wind
it's been a dangerous tight rope
any minute I could fall off

Well I see my reflection in pieces
and doctors tell me I need more medication
what a line...what a gimmick
you can't join the party
if you never was invited
so I walk alone
through my own battlefields
yeah it's true to many times
Lucifer and his demons
visit my shoulder
and sometimes I succumb
but who that is human doesn't?

cuz it's been a long walk
with no end
it's been a bitter winter
I feel the frost bite
through a busted chin
cuz it's been a long walk
tossing out caution to the wind
it's been a dangerous tight rope
any minute I could fall off
fall off into temptations path.....
