I Hate

I hate to see
The pain in your eyes
The sadness in your frown

I hate to see
You look straight at disgrace
As evil stares back in your face

I hate to witness
Tears rolling down those cheeks
Where smiles once used to climb

I hate to witness
Emptiness ever growing amongst your heart
And the loving side beginning to depart

I hate to be part of
A problem in which a hug is
My only solution for redemption

I hate to be part of
The image that will not leave
As you crave to rewind the past

I hate to adore you
More and more as I see
How human you are; just like me

I hate to adore you
When you cry,
But those tears make you sexy

I hate it when
You hate yourself
Punishing your own feelings

I hate it when
You deny yourself
All those things you deserve

I hate to see you
In this much hollow pain
But babe you're the greatest

I hate to see you
Try to forget when you should forgive
And let me in to help you through
