 Tears Frozen In Snow

:: Rainz Holiday Sigz ::

She walked down the street, the snow was knee deep
Picked out no particular house
Staring through the window, at a family of four
Shaking but quite as a mouse

The tree decorated, the lights twinkling bright
The fireplace gave off a soft glow
Presents all wrapped, and stockings all filled
From the arch hung mistletoe

The family of four, filled with laughter and glee
Sang carols there by the tree
Father picked up a book, the laughter died down
Twas the night before Christmas you see

There by the window, tears frozen in snow
As she listened to that soothing voice
Mom shooed them to bed, they covered their heads
With happiness hearts did rejoice

Now back through the snow, she trudged on her way
To the box she called home on this night
Alone and so cold she shut her eyes
And an Angel came into sight

She said wake up my child your life here is done
I followed your tears in the snow
As she held out her hands, they melted away
Like the past from long ago

A Heavenly Angel on each Christmas Eve
Spreading love from the top of each tree
Reminding each family to always give thanks
And to love every child that you see

Help a child this Christmas give
from your heart, let NO child be without
