Christmas Kisses
The Mother was busy in the kitchen
Her little girl was very quite
She went in to check on her
Was angry at the sight
An expensive roll of golden paper
She bought special yesterday
Was cut and glued upon a box
Wasted to her dismay
She proceeded then to reprimand
When the little girl cried out
I wrapped this present just for you
And she began to pout
The Mother felt a little guilty
The little girl said open now
When she saw the box was empty
Anger wrinkled up her brow
She said never give an empty box
That's mean and very rude
And all this wasted paper
Has me in a bitter mood
Tears fell down the little girl's cheeks
With trembling voice she said
Mommy, I blew it full of kisses
She bowed her little head
No greater love a mother felt
What a priceless gift to receive
Christmas kisses wrapped in gold
Just for her on Christmas Eve
